Vikings Reasoning: I’ve been wanting an elite DB and CGJ fits that for me with some additional development. I have the cap space to pay him. Steele adds to what I’m trying to do at LB and can step in and replace Barr next year if he regresses.
Saints Reasoning: My reason: “I can’t afford CGJ next year, and Steele can be replaced by West. This is basically CGJ for Hill and 2 4ths. It’s worth it for me”
